About

Obscura Bibliotheca was founded in Portland, Oregon as a vehicle for the careful transmission of rare and historically significant works in the Western esoteric tradition. It is not a warehouse. It is an archive in circulation.

The books offered here are not remainders or bulk acquisitions. Each title enters the collection through deliberate sourcing and leaves it only when the right custodian is found.

Dr. Nick Literski, Curator

Dr. Nick Literski holds a Juris Doctor from Northern Illinois University and a PhD in Depth Psychology with Emphasis in Jungian and Archetypal Studies from Pacifica Graduate Institute, where he serves as Assistant Professor of Depth Psychology and Creativity.

His scholarly work spans ceremonial magic, Jungian psychology, and the history of Western esoteric traditions. He is a published author and a frequent lecturer on the intersection of depth psychology and ritual practice.

He has spent decades assembling a personal library in the Western esoteric tradition — among his ongoing projects is a systematic reconstruction of C.G. Jung's personal collection of works on magic and the occult.

Obscura Bibliotheca grows directly from that work. Each title offered here has been handled, read, and considered — not acquired for resale, but released from a collection built with scholarly intention.
