The Book of the Law: Technically Called Liber Al bel Legos Sub Figura CCXX

Although the title page states 1938, this first American Edition of The Book of the Law was actually published in 1942, with the approval of Aleister Crowley himself.  This edition was prepared by Wilfred Talbot Smith, founder of "The Church of Thelema." While the text of this edition was directly from the British edition of 1938, it corrects typographical errors, omits the notices and advertisements, and adds material about the Order extracted from "The Equinox." The book was published under the imprint of The Church of Thelema, 1003 S. Orange Grove Avenue, Pasadena California. Stapled in dark blue card covers with only the slightest hint of edge wear as seen in photos. Interior is clean. A beautiful copy of a scarce first American edition.
