The Secret Doctrine: The Synthesis of Science, Religion, and Philosophy (6 Volume Set)

Blavatsky’s original 1888 first edition appeared in two enormous volumes. After her death, Annie Besant and G. R. S. Mead produced a revised edition in the 1890s, making editorial and typographical alterations. This 1938 Adyar edition largely follows that revised textual tradition rather than being a strict facsimile of the 1888 text. Theosophical factions have argued about those editorial changes ever since; some organizations regard the original 1888 text as the authoritative form, while the Adyar branch historically defended its editorial lineage. A separate typescript lecture in envelope is included from a prior owner.
